Ramadan marks a time of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.
When Eugène Delacroix painted the „Femmes d’Alger dans leur appartement“ it was sure not Ramadan, as they are, in the imagination of the artist, spending their days is sheer luxury and excess. However, through Ramadan one may use this picture as motivation and maybe a little allowed eye candy to lighten the spirit.
